Pastor Elder Quaveon Richardson
Elder Quaveon Richardson was born on August 21, 1996, in Rocky Mount, North Carolina, to Miss Cynthia Harris and Minister Morris Richardson. He was raised in Rocky Mount by his devoted mother and lovingly nurtured by his maternal grandparents, Trustee Sam Harris and Elder Gloria Harris, both of whom left a lasting legacy in his life and spiritual formation.
Elder Richardson received his formal education through the Nash County Public School System and graduated from Nash-Rocky Mount Early College High School. He accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior at the tender age of four and began preaching at the age of six, sharing the Word of God throughout North Carolina even before being formally licensed. At the age of 17, he preached his initial sermon in May 2013 at God’s Chosen Vessels Church of Christ, Disciples of Christ under the leadership of Pastor Lilly Robinson.
He continued to grow in his calling and was licensed and ordained after years of faithful ministry. In June 2020, Elder Richardson earned a Bachelor of Science in Religious Studies from the Goldsboro Disciples Institute of Religious Education. Later that year, in September 2020, he was ordained an Elder in the Lord’s Church by Bishop R.D. Hood during the Goldsboro Raleigh District Assembly.
In addition to his ministerial work, Elder Richardson is also dedicated to the field of education. He earned an Associate of Arts in Teacher Preparation in May 2023 and is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Middle Grades Education at Fayetteville State University, with an expected graduation date of May 2026.
Following years of evangelistic ministry throughout the Southeastern United States, Elder Richardson was divinely appointed to pastoral leadership. On June 26, 2021, he was unanimously elected to serve as Senior Pastor of Union Grove Church of Christ, Disciples of Christ in Clinton, North Carolina.
He is joyfully married to the former Kendra Smith of Raleigh, North Carolina, and together they are the proud parents of four children: Noah, Ariah, Nehemiah, and Moriah Richardson.

Minister Kendra Richardson is a devoted woman of faith, a loving wife, nurturing mother, passionate educator, and dedicated servant in the body of Christ. Born in Raleigh, North Carolina, and raised between Raleigh and Gastonia, she embodies a spirit of grace, strength, and perseverance.
She is joyfully united in marriage to Pastor Quaveon Richardson, Senior Pastor of Union Grove Church of Christ, Disciples of Christ, in Clinton, NC. Together, they are the proud parents of four beautiful children: Noah, Ariah, Nehemiah, and Moriah Richardson.
Minister Richardson is an active member of Clifton Chapel Church of Christ, Disciples of Christ in Spring Hope, NC, under the leadership of Pastor Cynthia Crumel. She also serves faithfully at Union Grove Church of Christ, Disciples of Christ, where she holds multiple leadership roles, including Leading Lady, President of the Women’s Ministry, President of the Praise Dance Ministry, and Secretary of the Youth Ministry.

She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a concentration in Counseling from Chowan University in 2018. Committed to both spiritual and professional growth, she is currently pursuing a second Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, aspiring to become a Labor and Delivery Nurse.
Beyond her professional and ministerial duties, Minister Kendra finds joy in spending time with her family, singing, reading, and traveling. Her life and ministry are marked by a deep commitment to encouraging others, walking in faith, and serving with love and purpose. She is a living testimony of what it means to follow Christ with humility, boldness, and unwavering devotion.
